  • Enquiry content (lesson interest, preferred dates, message text)
  • Booking and payment administration details needed to run a lesson
  • Technical data such as cookie identifiers where you consent to analytics

Why we use data

  • Respond to enquiries and administer bookings
  • Deliver lessons and send related materials
  • Meet accounting and legal obligations
  • Improve site performance where analytics cookies are accepted

Legal bases under UK GDPR include performance of a contract (or steps prior to contract), legitimate interests in operating a tuition practice, legal obligation, and consent where required for non-essential cookies.

Retention

Enquiry messages that do not become bookings are typically kept up to 18 months. Booking and invoice records are retained for up to six years to satisfy UK accounting needs. Cookie consent choices remain in your browser until you clear storage.

Sharing

We use service providers who process data on our instructions (for example email hosting). We do not sell personal data. If a provider stores data outside the UK, we use appropriate transfer safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses where required.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability where applicable, and you may object to certain processing. You may withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing the stored choice and revisiting the banner, or by managing browser settings. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Children

Lessons are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
