The overlap window tempts speed. Bars fatten, wicks lengthen, and traders start writing conclusions mid-candle. In the Practice Lab we run a deliberately slow drill.
The tutor freezes the replay every fifteen minutes of tape time. Students must finish the prior candle’s note before the next segment plays. Notes that say only “volatile” are sent back; we want body-versus-wick language and a comparison to the London morning average size.
One mild finding from recent labs: traders who already survived the Candlestick Behaviour Intensive still skip the size comparison when the overlap feels exciting. The clock and the freeze button remain our best tutors for that habit.
